![]() ![]() I sudo installed Steam (can't really install anything without it after all) Yes the 403s confuse me as well, it would seem the Steam client sends invalid credentials or similar. I'm not sure whether that's normal or not.Īnyway hope you guys can help, it's quite annoying to be downloading at 25% speed and thereby waiting four times as long as I'm used to :-( HTTP (CS,508) - valve508.cs. (valve508.cs.): Received 0 (Invalid) HTTP response for depot 441 In the "Content_log.txt" I have a LOT of errors, such as: I've checked I've not set a download bandwidth, and Steam is set to use a server in my country. I've disabled IPv6 to no avail, and I've updated to the beta version of the Steam Client, which also had no effect. Running a speedtest at gives med my full 60 MBIT, so it's not the OS, Hardware or similar. ![]() I know for a fact it's not my disk limiting it, as I'm running on pure SSDs, and have checked iotop for any misbehaviour. On Windows I'd download at a consistent 6 MB/s (having 60/60 MBIT connection), on Linux Mint it averages around 1,5 MB/s but the funny part is it sometimes comes to a complete halt for around 20-30 seconds, then it starts downloading again. Having recently moved from Windows 10 to Linux Mint 17.2, I've started downloading games in the Steam Client, with somewhat lackluster performance.
